Last working day with Pizza Hut yesterday after nearly 20 years (most of my working life so far) with them, now on 3 weeks hols before starting my new job (first Xmas off in 19 years)

No fanfairs, no calls wishing me good luck, nothing from above, I just packed up my stuff and left.

My restaurant team (Managers and Team Members) are devestated with lots of them asking me not to go or asking if they can work for me when my new restaurant opens.

I built a really good close team around me in the restaurant and it was very hard to walk away from them, I feel as if I've let them down by going.

I suppose I'd allways stuck it out through good and bad  because I enjoyed the people I worked with (at restaurant level) so much.

Still, I got my leaving do next week so that should be fun.

I never thought I'd end up leaving a job that I enjoy doing so much but that's how your feelings change when you're basically not happy with your working conditions.

I know I've made the right choice, it's Pizza Hut's loss.

I got a better job, more pay and better conditions within 2 weeks of me starting to look.

I'll be running the New Bella Italia restaurant on the Ciniworld retail park in Cherry Hinton Cambridge.

It opens on 25th Jan.

I've even got my own bar  :blues:  :blues:  :blues:

Yup, they said it wasn't the prettiest they'd seen but so long as the penetration was good there should be no problems.  They powedercoated them FOC for me when i returned the old ones :p   Engines now straight and level which is nice :blues::cool::cool:
