geelhoed Posted December 3, 2004 Posted December 3, 2004 For dutch car builders the best route is to have the car SVA'd in england and then importing it back to the Netherlands. But we have a tax on cars here which is 45,2% on the value of the car(before VAT). Luckily I could convine them that the car is worth only 7k€ and got away with 1380k€ tax You lucky b******ds! Quote
Rob Navin Posted December 3, 2004 Posted December 3, 2004 MMMmmmmmmmmmmm So how much do you end up paying on fuel then ? Oh and what about road tax ? Then theres the roads littered with Blairs tax collecting cameras. Not all that lucky then are we Quote

geelhoed Posted December 3, 2004 Author Posted December 3, 2004 MMMmmmmmmmmmmm So how much do you end up paying on fuel then ? Oh and what about road tax ? Then theres the roads littered with Blairs tax collecting cameras. Not all that lucky then are we Road tax is about €100 but I had to pay for british road tax for 2004 as well My insurance is €850 for 7500km a year fuel costs about 1.28€ (£0.91) I couldn't find how many gatso's (after the dutch inventor Gatsonides) there are n your side of the drink but we have 1600 in the netherlands, which is one for every thousand inhabitants and one for each 2 km of highway. also 20% of them contain film instead of 10% in Brittain. I'm sure you've seen Clakson meets the neighbours about the various ways to kill a gatso Quote
7SE Posted December 3, 2004 Posted December 3, 2004 I had to pay for british road tax for 2004 as well You can send back the tax disk and receive a refund of the unexpired months. You probably wish that you knew that earlier Quote
geelhoed Posted December 3, 2004 Author Posted December 3, 2004 I send it back to Westfield as they had screwed up my registration and never seen it back, since she was only exported yesterday I probably couldn't get anythin back anyway Quote
Nemo Posted December 5, 2004 Posted December 5, 2004 You should have kept it UK registered. That way the Dutch Gatsos would be useless. Quote
