johnfelstead Posted March 5, 2002 Author Posted March 5, 2002 Apologies for that graeme. It was in fact Pete Coombes, who used the same website as graeme in his post on scoobynet. It's obvious that graeme is having a laugh in this post and is a decent guy. Best of luck with fluke-motorsport graeme. Quote
gee_fin Posted March 5, 2002 Posted March 5, 2002 Yes (thanks Nick/John), I am _not_ Pete. My comment (above) was a tongue-in-cheek post as I am genuinely looking forward to seeing the car in the Speed Series The Speed Series pitches the quickest Westfields in the country against each other and as L16COS is one of them it will make for an excellent spectacle. There was another turbo Cossie running last year (can't remember the name I'm afraid ) it's going to be great to see them battling (if you decide to keep the car). Said Scoobynet thread is in hand, and muppet shall be severely beaten for his bizarre, out of order and frankly ridiculous messages. Graeme. Quote
I.S.M Posted March 5, 2002 Posted March 5, 2002 The turbo cossie of speed series 2001 was that of Steve Barnard! (its Red) Quote

mmmmdonuts Posted March 6, 2002 Posted March 6, 2002 Sorry John, I'm not actually intersted myself (I only bought my Westie about a year ago, and I have 'fun' handling the 155bhp that it has). I think I would scare myself stupid in yours. I am a big fan of cars, especially unusual ones, and ones like yours make great contributions to pub arguments. I was just curious as to how much it would sell for. I do have a few friends with money to spare, but they are generally of the 'nice car, but i wouldn't want one' category, so i don't think I will have much luck. They would rather drive a Z3 or something posey like that. Quote
Nick M Posted March 6, 2002 Posted March 6, 2002 They would rather drive a Z3 or something posey like that Still, the plus side is that you must get your hair done for next to nothing... Quote
johnfelstead Posted March 6, 2002 Author Posted March 6, 2002 At least it kept the add at the top, gotta see a positive in everything i say. I have had a couple of very intersted calls but you just dont know till they make the effort to come see the car. I think the first person serious enough to actually sit in it will be impressed enough. I havent met anyone yet who hasnt been blown away by a ride in the car. Funnily, superbike riders seem to get the biggest kick out of it because it accelerates like a fast bike but corners faster in the low/medium speed stuff and is pretty close in the really fast stuff. Wish i had enough hair to take advantage of your mates mmmm Quote
