Found this on the Westfield website - New Products Has any one got the new silencer? Was wondering what kind of db it gives out, what the sound is like and of course how much it is? Not sure if the new silencer will come with my new kit or if it is an extra cost option - anyone know? John. Quote

8336 Posted November 27, 2004 Posted November 27, 2004 Hi I've just lost a message I was previewing, so if you get two posts from me sorry, but I'm mystified. I bought the new Sports exhaust at the Exeter show, it arrived Wednesday, looks lovely . Unfortunately it does not align correctly, the input pipe angle being different from the existing can. . If anybody can tell me how to do it I've taken some digital piccies illustrating the problem. Mark at Westfield ssaid the cans should be a straight forward swap, but mentioned the 1998 model on my car, is slightly different from the current standard can. So, the two cans are at present at a local metal fabricator, well versed in TIG welding SS, the man I arranged it with is a keen motorcyclist, and is experienced in fabricating bike exhausts. He's goind to cut and reweld the input pipe to give a suitable angle. I should get it back early next week. I'll post further when I've positive news. Regards John Gathard Quote
