adhawkins Posted November 21, 2004 Posted November 21, 2004 they just appear in the top corner as a small square but will not open. Can you explain exactly what you mean by this? Are you saying you see an icon, or when you double click the icon you just get a small square? Andy Quote
skid Posted November 21, 2004 Author Posted November 21, 2004 Andy if l now go to playcool and try to download the pdf file all l get is a 8mm square in the top left corner Quote
neilb Posted November 21, 2004 Posted November 21, 2004 Have you installed any firewall products? The best way is to right click and save the PDF file to you pc, it sounds like a problem with file associations Quote
skid Posted November 21, 2004 Author Posted November 21, 2004 right click is not a high lighted option. yep fire walls in place ,disabled it and no change Quote
adhawkins Posted November 21, 2004 Posted November 21, 2004 At what point do you get the square in the corner? Describe exactly what steps you're taking. Andy Quote
Camel_Landy Posted November 21, 2004 Posted November 21, 2004 Is Acrobat starting up? Does it appear on the task bar at the bottom of the screen? If so, try right clicking the Acrobat icon on the task bar and then select "Maximize"... Mark. Quote
Blatman Posted November 22, 2004 Posted November 22, 2004 I was thinking that.... Also, try right clicking with the shift key held down. That *should* give you the "open with" option in the right click menu. Quote
skid Posted November 22, 2004 Author Posted November 22, 2004 This is not an option,if l go to tilton site and download the pedal box in a pdf form:- blank screen with a little box in the top left corner,no matter what combination of shift /right mouse l still get nothing to open or change ,before it just opened !!!!!!!!!!! Blatman Posted November 23, 2004 Posted November 23, 2004 OK. We had all assumed that this was a file on your PC, not on a remote web page, which is why the right click thing doesn't work. It will though, so pay attention.... Right click the link, and choose "save target as" Save it to your desk top. If it saves and has the Adobe icon on your desktop as we would espect, double click it. If it still doesn't open, hold the shift key down, right click it, and "open with". Select Acrobat Reader from the list... And I've just tested this myself on the Tilton web site to make sure that there's nothing wrong with their link, and it's fine... Quote
