Coxy Posted November 19, 2004 Posted November 19, 2004 What is the format with these events? I am fairly new to Westfields and want to do some track days next year. I live fairly local to Oulton Park and wondered if it is possible/allowable to turn up and have a look around and a chat to some of the more experienced track dayers. Any help would be much appreciated. Coxy Quote
pistonbroke Posted November 19, 2004 Posted November 19, 2004 Just roll up at the gate and drive in,as far as I know , sometimes have to pay an entrance fee if yer unlucky . you wont be allowed in the paddock but might see other 7s around, maybe there myself . I'm nr warrington Quote
Megablade Paul Posted November 19, 2004 Posted November 19, 2004 Sorry to contradict Bernie, but you will be able to wander around the paddock, get onto the pit lane/straight chat to people. best place to watch when you've done all that is the far side of Knicker Brook, go across the foot bridge and turn left until your adjacent to the chicane, that's where the fun will be, although in this weather it's usually fun on any bend at the Park Quote
pistonbroke Posted November 19, 2004 Posted November 19, 2004 dont think yer will be able to take the westy into the paddock , but I stand to be corrected on that point and bow to your superior knowledge ! But ill find out for myself tomorrow Quote
Glen H Posted November 19, 2004 Posted November 19, 2004 dont think yer will be able to take the westy into the paddock , but I stand to be corrected on that point and bow to your superior knowledge ! John Dolan - Wirral & North Wales AO Posted November 21, 2004 Author Posted November 21, 2004 Spin counter Bob 1, John 1. Bob's was at Druids. That was the slipperiest bend on the circuit, partially due to the amount of mud on the road after Bob's spin. John's spin was at the bottom of the Avenue, two wheels on the grass and two on the tarmac is not good. Luckily a passing pack of hunting dogs brought out the red flag. Highlight of the day was passing a Testarossa into Island Bend. Quote
