has anyone swapped the squarish fog lights for the round ones  - are the fitting holes similar ?

Yes and no.

Yes I've switched and no the holes are in different places. They're round the rim of the round one... but it will cover the holes of the square one.

have done them last month on my seiw.Seemed easy enought(as long as you have the wiring which westfield didn't give me).You have to make a hole for the fitting and I found the light near the tank filler an A*** to get to the bolts,so bolted them on using rivnuts with the original new bolts.

Hi Wrightster,

I used the perie round lights and carbon effect angled housings from s-v-c. They came with all the parts and were easy (though a bit tim consuming to fit). The instructions say drill a 40mm hole through the rear tub, but since the housings are angled to get the lights pointing in the right direction (rather than upward), the 40 mm hole only accommodates the bulb holder and to get the light to fit flush you have to make the bottom of the hole a fair bit larger to accommodate the angled reflector part, so that the hole looks like two semicircles on top of each other with the top one about 40mm and the bottom one nearer 60mm radius. You are also left with a few other holes from the old lights but they are nicely covered up by the new ones. The wiring from the right angled connectors simply plug into the existing connectors. The other thing is the the bolts supplied with my light were very (unnecessarily) long, and so since they come with nyloc nuts you could shorten them. I didn't and consequently spent quite a while with a spanner and someone else holding a screw driver while I tightened them all up.

Well worth doing though, as they look great.

Cheers

Kev.
