Blatman Posted November 19, 2004 Posted November 19, 2004 America! huh, 55mph, huh. Not for a long time... Some/most states have a freeway limit of 70mph or more. California is 70, Arizona is 75, Florida is 70... etc etc... Quote
PeterOz Posted November 19, 2004 Posted November 19, 2004 ...and in Montana the daytime highway speed limit (in the absence of any posted limits) is "reasonable and prudent", subject to interpretation by Highway Patrol officers. Hmmm... I guess you’re not going to argue with their definition of "reasonable and prudent" are you? They've got guns. Quote

Steve and Becky Posted December 4, 2004 Posted December 4, 2004 Just a thaught, not sure my car will be built to do this, but im hopefull.... To keep costs down, You use camp sites... instead of hotels.... Quote
Blatman Posted December 4, 2004 Posted December 4, 2004 Trust me, camping on a trip like this will see you feeling knackered by day 3. Plus you lose lots of extra space on the car by having to carry a tent and all the associated sleeping gear. It's no good saying that the support vehicle could carry the camping gear either, 'cos packing and unpacking that will get really boring after a couple of days too... Hotels it must be, IMHO Quote
oioi Posted December 4, 2004 Author Posted December 4, 2004 tend to agree with you blatman plus the arrival of the support vehicle in a timely manner is not guaranteed as it could be spending several hours by the road side fixing a broken car. Quote
