RICHARD+PHILIP Posted November 5, 2004 Share Posted November 5, 2004 Right I'm a bit lost for ideas my 1.6 vx westfield has just developed a whistling noise on inital start up for the first 5 minutes you touch the throttle and the whistling increases in pitch abit like a supercharger noise! OK I think it's the water pump er no Must be the alternator then er wrong again must be the timing pulleys yet again no so I'm left with the dry sump pump which hasn't been changed unless anybody else has any woderful ideas! so Have you? A quick google of "whistle whittaker" revealed that bloke to be Roger Whittaker. As you can see here, he did quite a lot of whistling...
