Ripper Posted October 30, 2004 Posted October 30, 2004 I am building a sport 2000 using the duratech engine. The manual I have is for the 1800 ford. How do the injectors fit in and how do you route the accelerator cable? What fits in the end of the injector manifold nearest the front of the engine? Quote
adhawkins Posted October 30, 2004 Posted October 30, 2004 I can't answer your questions I'm afraid, but it would be worth contacting the factory to get the correct build manual (assuming one exists of course). Best of luck. Andy Quote
Darren B Posted October 30, 2004 Posted October 30, 2004 Hi Ripper, I fully sympathise with the situation you are in. I built a V8 recently and that had no manual either (I mean how am I supposed to know that the battery and washer fit in the boot!!. Anyway, Mark Walker and Mick in technical were very helpful and never seemed put out by even the stupidest questions that I had (like why isn't there any electrical connection for the washer in the engine bay!!! Doh! Darren Quote

Injectors sit in the head, sandwiched by the fuel rail and retained by circlip. My acelerator cable from floor mount pedals, routes around base of chassis and rises upright brake hose brackets' on to linkage kit located at front of TB's. Fuel regulator is located at end of rail (scuttle end) and inlet connection at other end (front). Quote
