conibear Posted October 26, 2004 Posted October 26, 2004 Or did Westfield sell two types (vented and unvented) and get them made to suit each disc type without spacers being needed ? Your probably right Nick, I think WFD did get hold of two type of 4pot calipers as you stated. Although a bit lighter can I justify spending more dosh on this little weight gain I'd prefer a dry sump, mag wheels, more bhp Quote
Nick M Posted October 26, 2004 Posted October 26, 2004 The main saving is probably in the calipers tbh. Quote
Doug D. Posted October 26, 2004 Posted October 26, 2004 If weight is not an issue I have a set of cortina discs and granada calipers for the front that are have done wirtually no mileage for sale. PM me if you're interested Quote
Impney Posted October 26, 2004 Posted October 26, 2004 Standard M16 Calipers = 4.5kg each (inc pads) New CAT Motorsport 4 -pot calipers = 1.35kg each (inc pads) Reduction in unsprung weight = 3.15kg or 70%!!!! You pays yer money......... Quote
