This seemed a logical place to put my first time out on ANY kind of track... EVER!  What a fantastic buzz! :) And not scary at all!  Just like going from one set of traffic lights to another  ;)

Anyway.  I've got a bog standard SEIW CVH 1.6 with twin 40 webers.  Here's my best various times: -

0.858  -  reaction time

2.362  -  60 ft

6.621  -  330 ft

10.290 - 1/8 ET

70.20  -  1/8 MPH

13.462 - 1000' ET

16.363 - 1/4 ET

89.28  -  1/4 MPH

Don't know if that's good or not but, it felt bl**** brilliant! :D

Anyone else ever done this?

Do you have any times?

Cheers,

Neil

Yes, adrenaline and testosterone is certainly a potent mix, I'm only just recovering from over exposure!!!

Seriously though, well done Neil wouldn't have guessed you were a Santa Pod virgin!

Good to see so many of the rest of you guys too.

You were just giving him a head start, right???   :p

That would be the one-handed run... where I gave him a head start whilst I was chatting to the marshall, waving my arms, about my pre-stage lights not coming on :arse:

:D  Thanks for that photo.  I appreciate it :(:D

Matt, where was your 12.8 second run recorded?  If it was at the drag strip using proper equipement I'd like the full details for my website as it is the highest trap speed I've heard of for a n/a 4-cylinder car.
