went to york dragstrip yesterday and got beat.

all 11 times.  :(  :bangshead:

the car either span or bogged down. was gutted.

how can i go faster?

i removed all my speakers etc. next time the spare wheel is coming out, and the seat and the petrol can.

Can you advise me on tyres please? was thinking AO32Rs or similar.

cheers

Start technique will have a lot to do with it I imagine. I would have thought a bit of weight over the back wheels (i.e. the spare) would help with traction if anything.

Find the point on the revs that you can hold the throttle were the car does not bog down or spin too much. I.e. just above bog point dump the clutch and feed the throttle in.

P.s. another 100bhp should help

What was your best time? My Zetec on TB's was 13.98sec, but I was only getting 70% throttle thanks to a dodgy linkage and throttle position sensor.
