Anyone bought a plate from DVLA on the first day they're available?

E prefix comes out on the 6th October and I want one.

Any tips on getting in first?

and prepare to be disappointed - the car reg resellers employ bazillions of gibbons to call all day for them, joe public stands little chance. you will then find the reg you wanted on one of their websites the next day for three times the price.

I've been on the mailing list for that for over a year, and I still aint heard nowt    I think it was supposed to be last September
