Cobra Roadster 7 Seats

I'm wanting to fit some cobra roadster 7 seats  and don't know if I have a problem.  I have an SEiW and I know loads of people have fitted them.

The problem is the seats are quoted to be 445mm wide at the base but according to my measurements the seat compartment is 435mm wide.

Are the bases cushioned at the sides so would squeeze in.

If anybody has a tape measure and 5 mins spare could they have a measure and let me know.  Don't want to spend the hard earned and be wrong.

Plenty of people have already fitted these seats, I'm sure they'd be fine...

Andy is right, they will be fine.  The sides do compress in slightly when the seat is fitted, it will only be 5mm so hardly noticeable - at least that is how they fit in my seiw.

I'd like to know if these would fit in a pre-lit narrow cockpit - I've measured the space available and it's a fraction over 15" or 385mm.

The seller seems to think it "Should" be ok but that's a big difference in my opinion (445-385 = 60mm or 2.3").

Does anyone know of any other options to replace the bench seat in a narrow pre-lit cockpit?

They won't fit in a Pre-Lit.

There are only one or two after-market bucket seats that will fit in a pre-lit, but I can't remember what they are - sorry.

The padded Westfield race seats will fit in a pre-lit, and very comfy they are too!

I was looking at the Cobra 7's too, and like you I measured my cockpit space and found it to be 10mm less than the quoted width of the seats.    But I am guessing they do fit as loadsa ppl have them.

Whats the best price you've been quoted for a pair of these then?
