Rob Navin Posted September 28, 2004 Author Posted September 28, 2004 I did a lot of work rebuilding this car with JWT last year had have had the pleasure of driving it on a couple of occasions this year and it is a great car. JWT,I'm glad to say, knows his way round an engine a lot better than he does a computer, hence me putting the add on for him. The car is excelent and has, on occasion proved to be a bit quicker than a X-flow
jonny wez Posted September 28, 2004 Posted September 28, 2004 Andy There are some photos here of the car in full action There are also some other photos on Mikes site from Scammonden and Curborough and some from Olivers Mount. HTH JWT
Turbo Tommo Posted September 28, 2004 Posted September 28, 2004 Pictures Rob? Andy Andy, hijacking a previous thread of you wanting to upgrade. This could be the car for you. Sell yours for 8-9k & bung in an extra couple. Bob's yer uncle Nice car
adhawkins Posted September 28, 2004 Posted September 28, 2004 How 'extreme' would it be as a road car though? I (and more importantly, Luned ) like some creature comforts Andy
Mrs Westy Posted September 28, 2004 Posted September 28, 2004 It's purple...what more do you need to know. Purple is always a winner with the laydeez.
jonny wez Posted September 28, 2004 Posted September 28, 2004 To be honnest it is remarkably well behaved on the road. The passanger seat is padded for you better half Go on, you know you want to. It's more fun than train games mate
Turbo Tommo Posted September 28, 2004 Posted September 28, 2004 Not extreem at all. has an aeroscreen, but thats easily remedied. Give him a call
Karl Woolf Posted September 28, 2004 Posted September 28, 2004 By the engine spec would i be right in saying the engine is running very understessed and you could release a large amount of BHP by changing from the standard cams, for relatively little money. Seems all the rest of the work needed for big power has been done Sounds like a bargain.....
jonny wez Posted September 28, 2004 Posted September 28, 2004 Quite correct. have some enem cams that retain hyd tappetts in stock. should easily give another 10 bhp. but did you that its torque that wins races, over looked by many engine builders.i built it with std cams to see what it could make.176.3 lb @ 5433 revs
Bananaman Posted September 29, 2004 Posted September 29, 2004 I can confirm that this is in deed a quick well sorted car, having been neck & nrck at several events this year. & that's with JWT in the driver seat*......... *I think he weighs nearly as much as me........
adhawkins Posted September 29, 2004 Posted September 29, 2004 Hmm...tempting... Where are you located JWT? Ah, Chesterfield...bit of a trek... Would you do a PX? Andy
jonny wez Posted September 29, 2004 Posted September 29, 2004 hey banana,i have some nut and bolt selections for you. light weight ones, due to weight problem
jonny wez Posted September 29, 2004 Posted September 29, 2004 unfortunately no px poss. taking delivery of new fury race chassi at the end of oct. need to sell soon. open to reasonable offers. maybe you fancy those cams. and there is always the spare top adjusters(brand new rose joints) radical racing slicks for track days. 7 inch compos/cr28 wets.
