stu999 Posted September 26, 2004 Posted September 26, 2004 Had a blat to Loton Park today-to watch the last meeting to be held there this season And what a day. It was absolutely packed out. The reason? Vintage cars only.... Ahh... The smell of Castrol R, loads of squealing and sliding on very skinny tyres, and some awesome (and no doubt expensive) looking pieces of machinery. Not one roll cage (of any description) in sight Not that this put them off-bazy crastards And some of them are HUGE! One had a 24000cc engine! But not quite as impressive as the car with the 27 litre engine... What is 3 litres between friends... Lets hope there is plenty of rain to wash the track before next year though-there were puddles of oil under almost every car-it looked a bit like a xflow convention had been there... Quote
