Nick Algar - Competition Secretary Posted September 20, 2004 Posted September 20, 2004 C & D will allow only cars as the factory produced/intended with NO modifications. I think C+ & D+ may comprise all other roadgoing cars, i.e. those with modded suspension (roll bars, moved pick up points etc), Vauxhall, Toyo, K series engines & the like as never fitted by Westfield, & even diffusers & stuff. I think this would be a nightmare for SS organisers/scruts to police All these minor mods do have an effect ,but the main difference is power and ability. imo The bike engine cars could be welcome in C if we dropped the CC catorgry to 1679 Hey that's great Woody, I just scrape in Quote
scott beeland Posted September 20, 2004 Posted September 20, 2004 We could draw straws as to what class to put Turbo in....he makes up his own rules anyway Aeroscreen....course it it guv Quote
The Duck Posted September 20, 2004 Posted September 20, 2004 Don't know where this C+ & D+ has come from. I certainly didn't hear anything at Thoresby. From what I've heard here it would seem to push us even further away from the "norm" than we are now, which I for one would not campaign! Lets stick to the Blue Book like other series' do!! tommo were you deff or what ? herd the murmas Quote
smithy Posted September 20, 2004 Posted September 20, 2004 science has often proved how to make an un-sucsessfull package with the following formula- RB+AEROscreen/classf-fa =slow velocity where RB=red body work and fa=financial advisor. comon tt buys sum slicks! Quote

Guest Posted September 21, 2004 Posted September 21, 2004 Factory built class would get my vote - based on 1800 or 2000 zetec. Spec. includes ARB's, TB's etc. and of course every car would have inertia reel seatbelts and full bootbox with cover. Also have to have the spare wheel slung on the back! John Quote

Mrs Westy Posted September 21, 2004 Posted September 21, 2004 Kev, given the lack of interest in this thread compared to "the other one", it looks like the majority are in favour of the proposals. It must just be you and John wot is outraged Quote
Mark Stanton Posted September 21, 2004 Posted September 21, 2004 No comment Kev - I thought what was discussed at 1.00am in Robbo's wagon was secret Quote
Mrs Westy Posted September 21, 2004 Posted September 21, 2004 Kev - I thought was was discussed at 1.00am in Robbo's wagon was secret Surely if there are proposals like this on the table, they should either be kept strictly among the committee, or opened out for all of us to comment? Discussing them avec fizzy alcoholic stuff in a latenight session doesn't seem very fair on the rest of us Quote
