Pepi Posted September 18, 2004 Posted September 18, 2004 Am I on my own with this one? I have notice lately that I have had more than the usual amounts of what I call telephone span, you know the thing phone rings you pick it up and you hear "congratulations you have won..." or "have you a few minutes to hear (read ten at least) of our exciting......its driving me and the missus nuts !!!! they always ring just as you sit down to a meal and you have to be really rude to get rid of them or just put the phone down.....how do you deal with this increasing problem? Is there a way of stopping it? Quote

Chris.B Posted September 18, 2004 Posted September 18, 2004 Try the Telephone Preference Service. We hardly ever get these calls since registering with them. TPS Agreed - the TPS, similar to the Mailing Preference Service (MPS) is superb. It's run by the DMA and makes a very significant difference to the number of unsolicited calls you receive. Quote
