For those that were concerned, I now (apparently) have 128 bit WEP encryption..............whatever that means!

Make sure the network ssid is hidden, and restrict access to the speciific MAC address of your garage pc as well.

If your router and pc support WPA then enable that too - WEP is crackable although someone would have to be fairly determined to do it, whereas WPA is a lot more secure.
