Numptie Posted September 14, 2004 Posted September 14, 2004 Hi, Do you guys keep a journal of events? I try to keep track of things like; weather, times, turn observations, suspension settings, tyre pressures. Here's an example ... Opinions? - record more / other things or not bother? Cheers, N Quote

Mark Stanton Posted September 14, 2004 Posted September 14, 2004 They're very useful things to keep especially keeping to yourself One thing to bear in mind is keeping times of non-competitive track days - generally o.k for personal comparisons, but strictly not for publication and some track day organisers do not allow timing of any kind, be careful Quote
Numptie Posted September 14, 2004 Author Posted September 14, 2004 Hi Mark, I only keep these for competition events. Up here, in the cold north, the only track days I do are at Knockhill. The truth is that I know that particular circuit well enough that I don't need any notes (dampers at 75%, cold tyres at 14 and balls out all the way). The organisers discourage timing laps so we never do (although I have made a dry sub 62 lap on Yoko's ). Cheers, N Quote
