Buzz Billsberry Posted September 13, 2004 Posted September 13, 2004 Well what a great weekend which was let down by the absolute dreadfully organised track day. Only Ryan who did the Drivers briefing in the morning seemed to have his head screwed on. The guy doing the noise test was useless. Officially your car is tested at 1/2 a metre 45*, he just stood at the back of the exhaust pipe 1/4metre away and said to me what’s it rev to? I said its a V8 so 5700rpm max. right rev it to 4000!!! I couldn't believe it. Pass rate was 98db i just squeezed in but 22 other cars had fail cause he wasn't doing it right. Then by 11 o’clock he was letting them on the circuit! My V8 is usually between 94-96db at 3500rpm.I asked the guy if he'd done any testing before as he wasn't doing it right... he just ignored me! Anyway apart from that I did 215miles on the full track day, it was supposed to be in 1/2 hour session in each hour for the full dayers and 20 mins for the 1 off sessions. I just came and went at my leisure. Only once did my passenger get asked if he'd paid. They didn't even check for a wrist band! So I just ran the track day as Buzzy's Taxi service!! . I think I took around 15 people out on the day. They all seemed to enjoy it. I know I did...but I was completely knackered when it all finished. That’s when the trouble started... I really wanted a shower after been in the saddle all day. I was very clammy and needed a freshen up and guess what no foooking shows on site. I had to wash in the gents toilets with cold water! I was very, very angry, especially after paying £6 for camping! Well it was 17.45, time for Stella most of the team round Si Brumfield's motor home had been drinking for around an hour already . Well the hours started to roll on and I was feeling a bit more human...then out of no where Charlie hits the car park with his Westy doing dough-nuts! well I say dough-nuts. It was more like a high speed sheep round up! you really do need an LSD Charlie!! The darkness came and the fun and games began as DJ Si and Charlie Bling started to entertain and pump the db’s up. Neil Willis was on the pull despite his partner been there as you can see from this photo of Neil tonguing his new found love The fun begins.... If u look at the the picky these are the offical WSCC knickers aloft the the club's flag pole WSCC Offical Knickers really kept the flies away The Evidence U who were there will understand!! Robin Hood, Men in Tights!!! [/b]The Accused...Say no more Most men can get a bra of with 1 hand. I however, have evolved that a stage further. I got Karen's knickers off with one hand and without removing her jeans! Now thats priceless!! Don't tell Charlie YOU KNOW WHEN YOU'VE BEEN STELLA'D!! Here I'm preparing to put the victim's sorry Paul's surgical mask on in readiness for a major operation! Knickers provided courtesy of Karen Ainley!! (again) Court in the act!! I thoughly enjoyed the whole weekend it was good to see everyone again. Although I left early on sunday afternoon as I was flying out to work in the USA that evening I could beleieve how well I felt still the flight to the USA was A nightmare the yanks are so paranoid thank god for Jack Daniels!! Charlie - Yorksboys. Posted September 13, 2004 Posted September 13, 2004 Oh my god, - I can't remember any of that, - honest officer!! Wondered where the wife's knickers had gone!! It was a top weekend and all I can say is that Stella has alot to answer for. Now I understand why the drive home hurt so much. I'm sure the picture is a cateringvan, - or is it a Robin Hood?? Glad you're back from the good old USA in one piece Pete. Karen is suitably embarassed and will be using a pseudo name at the awards night. Charlie. Quote
Paul M Posted September 13, 2004 Posted September 13, 2004 Have to agree with all Buzz's sentiments, the social evening was a great event (what I can remember of it), the camping facilities (what facilities ?) were a disgrace - glad I didn't pay - no one asked me to which is an indication of the standard of organisation. The track day was hopeless, I was booked on @ 1:30, when I got to the track @ 1PM there was no one about and the guy doing the testing had gone for lunch - didn't restart the session 'till 2:15,the pit lane was by now absolutley packed with cars for 3 sessions trying to get on all at once plus all the factory demo cars that were using the track all day, he complained that Limelight (show organisers) had refused to pay for sufficient noise testing, marshalling or signage down to the track to show people where to go or wait until it was time for their session, it was a complete farce. As for the pictures with the Catering Van and the knickers I can honestly say that none of it has anything to do with me Quote
