Major Stare Posted September 12, 2004 Posted September 12, 2004 Be carefull.........doing a temp repair, NTL may charge you if you cause a problem. If you are using NTL TV services, then a temp repair "may" cause you problems between now and the Service Engineer coming out. It can also cause other customers problems (not your problem though), its called Ingress and Egress.......dont make me go all technical !!! Is the cable a Siamese cable (CATV and Telco cable joined)? If so, call NTL from a mobile, tell them your phone line doesn't work now and make up a story "you work from home", "looking after an elderly person" etc, etc. Stress the importance of being without a phone, this "should" make you a priority call out. Then go outside the day before the engineer arrives and "damage" the telco cable. When you do....make the telco cables exposed and touching each other....might make a fault at the DSA or Base Unit. If you call the Call Centre and have no joy, ask to speak to a Team Leader. if you still have no joy, mention this guy Aizad Hussain. HERE. Ive met him a couple of times.....nice guy, very focused but has an up hill struggle. Or try Peter Wilcox, worked with him too HERE HTH Quote
