Also, do you see problems to let the car register in France? Do you have any information about cars been registred in France ?

Thank you for your comments

Im no expert on Westie prices and on the continent it may be a good buy, but it seems overpriced compared to what you'd spend on one in the UK. 13000 Eur is around £9000, which would buy you a lot more than a 12 year old Pinto powered car with RS alloys (late 2L vx car with some trick bits or a Megablade for example). At a guess Id say that you'd probably pay £6000 (9000 Eur) for a car that spec here in the UK.

I agree with Chris as well....too expensive,  Sorry I can't help you with the procedures on importing yuor car to France but iwould say it would be the same system whichever EU member you get the car from so it looks like you would get a better deal by looking here (theres a lot of cars for sale at the moment

It can't be a Pinto, the exhaust exit on in the passenger side.

Where ever you get the car from importing to France is a no go as far as I am aware. I was hoping to move there to retire one day and asked Westfield if it was possible. They said they knew of one that had been registered in France on some dogy deal. It is the only EU country who does not accept the sva or tuv for kit/self build cars. Caterhams can be registered as they are fully type approved. I stand to be corrected of course and would be very interested.

Just to say that I think Jeff is right. Frenchie does not like 'modifications'...

I had a relative visiting from France last week and he lamented the same statement as above.

Type approval is thought to be a necessity.

I thought Westfield had Low Volume Type Approval for their cars? I'm sure I remember seeing something about that when I bought mine. It was ages ago now though so I could be wrong! :D
