I'm thinking of getting a westie next year once I pay off some debts so could anyone help me out with the following?

I'm 6'3" and about 100kgs will I fit in a westie?

When is the best time to buy one, can't afford brand new so will be looking for 2nd hand bike engined?

Had other questions but have forgotten

Cheers

Well worth having a look around on here, all these questions tend to get asked on a regular basis :)

Wouldn't have thought you'd have too much trouble getting in one, I'm about 6'2" and 90kg or so, and fit in my wide body fine.

I see from your profile you're in Edinburgh. Advice I always give in these cases is to get along to a local area meet, but that might be a little difficult for you, cos I don't think there's an 'official' Scottish area at the moment.

You're likely to see a number of cars there, and people will be happy to answer any questions you've got. The 'For Sale' section on here always has a good selection of cars too.

Welcome aboard!

Seiw comes with pedal options , more leg room with top mount peds than bottom mount.  IMHO  .

But someone will doubtless call by to disagree.

I'm 6'2" ish and 95kg ish I have floor mounted peds

Leg room is OK , but got nowhere really to rest yer legs off the peds on a long run.

Have a look at seat options too.

If like me your a Fat A***, you won't fit too well in the Wessy Race seats which are narrower than the optional sports seats.

Hope this helps.

Cheers for the replies.

Looks like it'll be a wide body, are these a lot rarer?

What is an Sei?  Is this a v8?  Sorry for being so thick.

I'll try and pop along to a scottish meet once I can walk/drive again cause I've just torn some ligaments in my ankle :(

There are (basically) 5 models of Westfield

Pre-lit (quite rare, narrow body)

SE (narrow body, live axle)

SEi (narrow body, independant rear suspension)

SEW (wide body, live axle - comparitively rare)

SEiW (wide body, independant rear suspension)

These designators have little to do with the engine, although the V8 engined cars are designated SEiGHT.

All cars are now wide bodies, so the factory just refer to them as SE and SEi again I think (somewhat confusingly).

Wide bodied cars are probably more commonplace these days if anything, although there are still plenty of narrow bodies running around quite happily.
