Bananaman Posted August 27, 2004 Posted August 27, 2004 Have a look here, all good clean fun!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Quote
Luke_Eliasz Posted August 27, 2004 Posted August 27, 2004 That looks like some awesome fun, but i would rather a westfield than one of those. Any idea how much they cost, and are they road leagle? Quote
Bananaman Posted August 27, 2004 Author Posted August 27, 2004 Don't think you'd get away with it on the road For Sale Just need a Farm in the middle of know where... Quote
Luke_Eliasz Posted August 27, 2004 Posted August 27, 2004 £3000 seems slightly expensive for something you can only take off road imho. Still looks amazingly good fun, but seriously you wouldnt sell your west for that.....would you??? Quote
Nick M Posted August 27, 2004 Posted August 27, 2004 You can register them for road use here in Arizona* *actually that's not saying much - you can pretty much get anything with 4 wheels registered for road use here Quote
Luke_Eliasz Posted August 27, 2004 Posted August 27, 2004 Hey nick, your from Arizona>>USA? Do you own a westfield, as i didnt know westfield was international. Quote
Nick M Posted August 27, 2004 Posted August 27, 2004 No, from England but working in Arizona. Had my car out here for 12 months but had to ship it home so it's being looked after by my father at the moment. There's another Westfield SEight I know of in Phoenix, one in Washington state (John Ch) and maybe two in California (an SEight and an S2000 engined car I think). I think, all told, there are a mere 20 Westfields in the US, not counting Westfield Elevens as I believe there are a few more of those kicking about. They're not importing kits into the US any more now as far as I'm aware - liability issues or some such rubbish. Quote
Luke_Eliasz Posted August 27, 2004 Posted August 27, 2004 Oh... Also, banana, seen something on ebay you might like: http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws....c=photo and http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws....c=photo Quote
pistonbroke Posted August 27, 2004 Posted August 27, 2004 If I ever sell the Westfield, I'm gonna have a go at this Why sell ? Just screw 4 tracktor tyres on the Wessy ! Off ya go Quote
Nick Algar - Competition Secretary Posted August 28, 2004 Posted August 28, 2004 I thought that was how you drove your Westie anyway Nana, Judging by the no of times you've come off the track this year Quote
pistonbroke Posted August 28, 2004 Posted August 28, 2004 Would make a good birthday pressy happy B' day Quote
neilb Posted August 30, 2004 Posted August 30, 2004 I have seen these thing registered, but that might have been before the SVA test came in.. Looks like he has put it on ebay. Quote
cidersurfer Posted August 30, 2004 Posted August 30, 2004 I've driven one of these. It was a UVA Fugitive with a 'hot' 2litre VW motor in it. You could lift the front wheels off the floor if brave enough with the clutch . The 'merkins use them as sand racers. Put 'sand rail' into Google... Quote
