I want to buy a Pocket PC with integrated phone, bluetooth, camera, MP3, SD/MMC slot, ability to have Sat Nav added, in car kit etc.

Which is the best/smallest. The XDA2 looks good, is there anything smaller (thinner)?

Any advice welcome

I've had the XDAII and now the M1000  - Orange version of the same thing from O2.

Its a bit big and batteries could be a bit of a concern if you use GPRS and bluetooth all the time like me. Camera is typical of phone cameras.

But for all the drawbacks there are far more plus points I couldn't be without it now

Nope, but you can run the XDAII on Vodafone - I did for 12 months before moving to Orange.  There are a couple of 'un blockers' around to run on your PC, you just won't get any support from Vodafone if you can't set up all the rest of the gizmos.

FWIW there is also a free firware upgrade for the M1000 at the moment for extra Bluetooth and GPRS functionality.

Check out this addy for some other geaky tweaks

I'd wait for the new ipaq and see what that is like  before committing at the moment.

IMO the XDAs are pants. I've always suggested to people to get a PDA & seperate phone and have them communicate with each other via bluetooth. If anything, you're better off looking for a decent phone that has PDA capabilities.

Everyone I know that have gone for an XDA kind of device have given up and gone back to using seperate devices.

PS... FWIW, I use a Palm T3, PowerBook G4 & Nokia 6310. All communicate with each other via bluetooth & I can use the phone with either device to get e-mail, etc...

Best by far is the Treo 600 by palmOne full PDA with always on mail and phone.

Keyboard looks a bit small until you use it and then relaise it is very clever in its design.

Battery life is fantastic.

More applications for this puppy than all the others put together.

Cheers
