Martin Keene Posted August 16, 2004 Posted August 16, 2004 I'd take an SL65 AMG 6.0ltr V12 Twin Turbo 737 lb.ft of torque... Quote
samcooke Posted August 16, 2004 Posted August 16, 2004 They appear to be mostly a bunch of bored rich ******s *Sigh* Wish I was one of those. I'd do the Gumball. Prolly in an RS6, deresticted with a telly, DVD etc. Or maybe a DB9 Or a Continental GT Or a 575 M Oh to have to choose. Quote
peterg Posted August 16, 2004 Posted August 16, 2004 RS6, deresticted with a telly, DVD etc Like the one racing at Curborough yesterday the guy watched the F1 GP in his car then belted up and wanged it round the track in 36.5? very spectacular and he certainly wasn't holding back Quote
JonnyBoy Posted August 16, 2004 Posted August 16, 2004 Watch this this thread shows what carnage the gumball in europe was.. not a race??? Quote
Jan Coombes Posted August 16, 2004 Posted August 16, 2004 My friends brother did this is a soup-ed up M5. The offical gumball was £3000, (£1 per mile) He said it was horried, you have to drive hours a day, and unless you gun it your late for all the food and partys. All the police know you are coming so unless you have jammers etc, your stuffed. I heard there was a guy who stacked his 350 and just left it there. I would love to do it in a Ultima GTR, a westfield would not be that good you need top end power. Quote
Perywinkle Posted August 16, 2004 Posted August 16, 2004 ferrari enzo - £600,000, lamborghini mercialago - £200,000, getting shafted by a ford escort - priceless didn't the reyland escort crash and fail to finish? I got the vid of it spinning off the road lol shame, it's an awesome car Pez Quote
Blatman Posted August 16, 2004 Posted August 16, 2004 a westfield would not be that good you need top end power. You should've bought a decent car engined car then... Quote
scruffythefirst Posted August 16, 2004 Posted August 16, 2004 didn't the reyland escort crash and fail to finish? Well yeah, but only after they'd thrashed the enzo so much it stopped to get more power at a local ferrari dealership..... Twas an absolutely suicidal overtaking manovure though Quote

Luke_Eliasz Posted August 27, 2004 Author Posted August 27, 2004 Well i was watching gumball 3000 on the extreme channel the other night (channel 419 for sky digital viewers, its on 10:30 every night i think) and i saw a green Catheram R300 (i think it was an R300), and had to male drivers, not sure if they are members on the blat chat forum, or if anyone knows them, but they're famous been on tv Quote
oioi Posted August 27, 2004 Posted August 27, 2004 im with V7. chatting to somebody at work about it whose mate did it. apparently cos of the way it was set up they werent slowing down in villages etc. w@nkers! now i drive quickly on the public road, but always slow down in villages to sensible speeds cos the risks get too high (for me) to go blasting through a village at 130mph - you should be shot:angry: Quote
