Image Split Rim Wheels -

Recommended Posts

Gentlemen,

I'm thinking about buying a set of 7 x 15 Image split rim wheels and I'm interested to hear any comments about their construction and quality and whether you think they're worth the money (about £250 each).

I know Rial and Barnby Engineering make nice 13 inch split rims but there doesn't seem to be to many companies who can supply 15 inch - Compomotive and Image to name two.

Thanks in advance,

Richard.

Got two sets of 13" Image wheels (for slicks & wets) and can't be faulted for build quality  ;)

I run these on my car and they are very light as far as 15's go.

The quality of them is very, very good and they are very servicable.  I bent an inner rim and had it replaced with no hassle and a lot cheaper than a replacement wheel.

I would recomend that you get them annodised when you buy them.  I had mine done eariler this year and the quality has not deteriated at all.

Would I buy another set ?

Yep, without hesitation.

My 13" split rims are very light and the factory are very helpfull if they need to be sent back for alteration or repair.

Best you can get in my opinion

I'll be putting a set on the dax at some point (probably after I have soemthing to bolt them to)

Agreed with all the above - especially the anodised bit. A little more but defo worth having over painted centres. Wish we'd done it  :bangshead:

Word of advice.

From what I have seen, the quality is good but they weigh more than the OZ SupaLeggeras which are half the price.

Thanks for all your comments and advice, it looks like I'm going to have to start saving my pennies and do some more overtime!
