Phssthpok Posted July 20, 2004 Posted July 20, 2004 ......IE keeps freezing and the only way out of it is to CTRL+ALT+DEL, close it then re-open. It only started happening a couple of weeks ago but now I am lucky if it stays on for a few minutes at a time. Run Norton, Ad-ware and Spy-Bot, with no luck. ....any suggestions Quote
JonnyBoy Posted July 20, 2004 Posted July 20, 2004 re-install. should do one every few months imo. keeps you on your toes with backing up your important stuff too Quote
Glen_I Posted July 20, 2004 Posted July 20, 2004 Excuse me for being dim (crap with these bl**** things, want to get it serviced but scared at what may be found ) When you say Re-install do you mean use the disc that comes with the PC when you buy a new computer?? so if i done this then i would lose all programs that i have installed on it since buying it?? or am i really confused and dim Give me a engine any day............ mb893 Posted July 20, 2004 Posted July 20, 2004 Check to see if you have a folder in [Program Files] called [TV Media]... Nasty little pest that slows/locks IE called cleverIEhooker.jareid Safe mode then delete the folder/contents, update spybot S&D and off you go. Quote
