Crash Override Posted July 19, 2004 Posted July 19, 2004 I wish I had a camera fitted to the car this morning. I was on my way home from work early this morning and nearly home just blating along the local country lane, when I rounded a corner and bl**** hell sat in the road on a rabbit was a huge Buzzard. I took evasive action onto the other side of the road and it had only just stretched its wings out to take off as I was going by it. That was a close one, just imagine the mess of my car that would have made if I had hit it. Can you get into any trouble for killing a bird of prey? Quote
Blatman Posted July 19, 2004 Posted July 19, 2004 Only if it's A) on the endangered list, and B) only if you get spotted/reported, or own up to it I don't think UK buzzards are endangered... Quote
Blatman Posted July 19, 2004 Posted July 19, 2004 Here y'go. It's on the protected list, so I guess if you kill one, you really should let some-one know... Quote
Crash Override Posted July 19, 2004 Author Posted July 19, 2004 Thanks Blatman, that was a super quick search. However, it does turn up in the most unexpected localities, and it is as well to acquaint ourselves with it. You can say that again. It's lucky I missed it then, I shall have to watch out for it again. Quote
Blatman Posted July 19, 2004 Posted July 19, 2004 Another piece of trivia for my undercrowded brain.... Quote
