Dave Eastwood (Gadgetman) - Club Chairman Posted July 17, 2004 Posted July 17, 2004 Drove down to the factory this morning to collect my bodywork; at last it'll start looking like a proper car soon. While I was waiting in the parts department, I noticed they've got loads of WSCC membership forms everywhere now! Quote
KerryS Posted July 18, 2004 Posted July 18, 2004 Was there too - saw you loading up. Enjoy! Kerry S Quote
Dave Eastwood (Gadgetman) - Club Chairman Posted July 18, 2004 Author Posted July 18, 2004 Thanks, shame I had to rush to get the van back to the hire company; I'd been hoping to take another look at some of the "in - progress" builds. Still, first trial fit of the bodywork this afternoon, hadn't realised how high the suspension was set till now! Quote
Blatman Posted July 18, 2004 Posted July 18, 2004 The suspension shouldn't be "set" at all. Nor should it be done up tightly either.... You'll be amazed at how much it settles when you've added more stuff. Is the engine in yet? Quote
Dave Eastwood (Gadgetman) - Club Chairman Posted July 18, 2004 Author Posted July 18, 2004 Nope no engine yet, and nothing set, (or tightened) on the suspension. Was just planning on winding the spring seats down so that it's at roughly the right height, really only to help me line up the bodywork. At the moment the rear wheels have so much air between them and the arches, it makes allignment tricky. Quote
scott beeland Posted July 18, 2004 Posted July 18, 2004 I think I remember mine being that Shiney once Quote

At the moment the rear wheels have so much air between them and the arches, it makes allignment tricky. Body alignment shouldn't need the car lowering to it's "final" position. Just follow Steppenwolfs guide. It's almost certainly one of the best out there. And as I said, once the engine/'box and everything else is in, you'll be amazed at how much the car settles... Quote
