catflap Posted July 6, 2004 Posted July 6, 2004 Wanted front left upright (will take pair if seller doesn't want to split) *MUST* be straight and solid Thanks Ryan
Bazzer Posted July 6, 2004 Posted July 6, 2004 What you done Catflap ? How is your brake conversion going ? Going out to bed in my new RS14 rear pads later as the sun is shining
catflap Posted July 6, 2004 Author Posted July 6, 2004 Hay mate, the brake conversion is done, ill post up some picys soon, done a nice job even if I do say so myself heheh. I went for a .7 and a 7.5 based on the advice of the good people at tech craft, pedal is rock hard, with a nice feel. Im running pagids myself, need to bed them in when we have new uprights, I don’t really want to move to cortina/alloy ones as it means lots more work and new cycle guard brackets. Put the brakes all back together and they were snatching like mad, so had disk skimmed. Had hub tested, bearing replaced, so can only deduce we have a faulty upright *hence the post) Both disks, and hubs run true on right side, both run out on left side. SO COME ON ANYONE… SEND YOUR FABRICATED UPRIGHTS TO THE CAPFLAP ON THE ROAD CAMPAIGN and get him to a track day soon Good money waiting (or the use of mrs flap – no refunds)…Get me on the road before summer is out.
Bazzer Posted July 6, 2004 Posted July 6, 2004 Which Pagid compound you using RS4-2 ? Pagid recomend new disk with the pads !!! They were only 20quid for a pair !!! I am well impressed with the performance of my brakes now, well worth the effort. Bazzer
catflap Posted July 6, 2004 Author Posted July 6, 2004 I have gone for RS 14`s The disks on my set up are 80 notes a go, they are big 280mm disks, But I have just had them skimed so as good as new (I hope), nice and clean, and as true as a true thing Glad they are good Cant wait to get the thing back together now
