scott beeland Posted July 4, 2004 Posted July 4, 2004 From what I've seen of this car it is indeed a bit nice. I haven't got £20k though
Ken Robson Posted July 5, 2004 Posted July 5, 2004 Barry Your car is the best! What are you going to do now?
Mike H Posted July 6, 2004 Posted July 6, 2004 Anyone in the market for a V8 should look at Barry's car, it's the dogs wotsits. Not just saying that because he's a mate either. I've already made him an offer on some of the parts, but he's not interested! Mike
VeeEight Posted September 23, 2004 Posted September 23, 2004 Don't you think it might be over priced at £20,000
Barry Ashcroft Posted September 24, 2004 Author Posted September 24, 2004 Don't you think it might be over priced at £20,000 Very well might be, try building one to this spec for less £24.5k for new factory build no where near this level I am not bothered if I sell or not would just build another one!!!!!! Barry
scorcher Posted October 17, 2004 Posted October 17, 2004 Thought it would of been worth putting a proper roll bar on after putting so much effort into everything else!
samcooke Posted October 18, 2004 Posted October 18, 2004 Not sure why these negative posts are necessary. The ebay car is obviously not in the same league. My dad used to say 'if you've got nothing useful to say, say nothing'
Barry Ashcroft Posted October 18, 2004 Author Posted October 18, 2004 Thought it would of been worth putting a proper roll bar on after putting so much effort into everything else! The theme of the car was that of a top spec comfortable cruiser and as such the boot box was important for my use and a RAC type roll bar does not fit with the lockable boot lid. And easy modification to fit a RAC type bar if you are considering buying my car (or just knocking it cheers) you would just loose the locking boot lid or do some drastic cutting neither were an option for me. Regards Barry
Bananaman Posted October 19, 2004 Posted October 19, 2004 Looks fantastic................ Bet it sounds fantastic to.........
adhawkins Posted October 19, 2004 Posted October 19, 2004 I've seen Barry's car in the flesh (so to speak) and it's certainly a good looking motor... Andy
scorcher Posted October 21, 2004 Posted October 21, 2004 Not knocking your car at all .It looks very nice.Just having a little dig after the little dig that you posted on my advert. No offence taken and no offence meant. If I can sell my Lghtning I might well be in the market for another Westie. Not sure whether I could convince the better half on £20k though.I think she would cough and splutter a bit but she does like Westies. ( a good start ).And your only just down the road from me aswell.( i'm in Shepton Mallet).A RAC type roll-bar would of been nice from the added safety point of view as I believe the std. item is totally useless as a protection device. It was constructive criticism not negative. The RAC roll bar certainly helped me sell mine I know.I'll be keeping an eye on it.Any weather gear? Regards Scorcher
