SELOC www.seloc.org, Europe's largest on-line Lotus Enthusiast Club needs you (and your car).........

Brunty or Bust, www.bruntyorbust.org - the Great SELOC Charity Event - on the 31st July 2004

See the website for details of all that will be happening to make it a great day out for any car enthusiast, and in turn will raise money for a very deserving cause, Tommy's, the Baby Charity, www.tommys.org

We are calling on the owners of all Lotus models and types, in particular, to take part in the event and on the runs, again registration and run details are within the website.

Lotus ownership is renowned for its community spirit, we would like to see that cross the multitude of Lotus owners clubs and groups in support of this event and the charity in question and get as many models as possible on the runs!

We would also be very happy for other car clubs or individuals to take part in the runs in whatever sports car you own, the more cars that take part, the more money is raised!

A Westfield team for the Human Table Football tournament would be welcome as would cars to take part in the Driver Handling course.

You can help to spread the word and raise further funds for charity by leafletting other cars and owners, where Lotus or non-Lotus. The flyer is available HERE

Thanks to all

SELOC

Yep,

Craig and I will join the convoy in the XTR4.

We would also like to do the handling/sprint circuit too.

We've already attended many SELOC events and I'm sure this one will be just as well organised and lots of fun.

Thanks Ian, could I please ask you to register via the SELOC on-line shop and chose your start location for the run from Duxford IWM, Blenheim Place, Castle Combe Race Circuit, Donington Motorsport Museum and the NEC Motorcycle Museum.

We were pitched next to a few Westie owners at Le Mans this year who were also going to do the event, would be good to have the Westie's on board.

There will be some auction items that should entice the Westie owners to bid next week!

Thanks again

ROC and all the Northants guys

Thanks for the response much appreciated.

In terms of a donation, that comes from signing on for the runs and paying the £20 run fee. The fee is refunded if £70 or more is raised in sponsorship - see www.bruntyorbust.org for the sponsorship form.

To restrict the amount of cash and cheques being handled on the day, we are asking people to pre register via the on-line shop on SELOC, http://shop.seloc.org/login.php it will also require registering on SELOC which is FREE.

The other reason for asking people to pre register and become SELOC members is to comply with the MSA requirements as all the runs are being held under MSA regs.

Day membership will be available on the day of the event  following the completion of a form requiring run participants to adhere to club rules, this form will also be available via the BOB website by the end of the week and allow for pre payment via cheque as opposed to on-line via the shop.

Any queries or difficulties please ring me on 07838 215 149.

You will need to register on www.seloc.org (FOC as it is on the Westie board) to bid for the items on the on-line auction.

All booked up and starting from Donington with the other midlanders.

Any more takers ?

All being well we should get a few more XTR series cars from our members on XTR2.net.  Will be interesting to see how the '2 and '4 cars fair on the handling circuit.

I'll also have a word with the factory and see if they can get the works car along too.
