RS WST Posted June 29, 2004 Posted June 29, 2004 Still on with altering loads of bits on the car since passing the SVA 6 weeks ago. Its been registered for 4 weeks now, and I am very pleased with the result of 1 year of building the thing. This is my new inlet I will be fitting over winter. My old inlet will be up for grabs if anyone is interested? Quote
thos Posted June 29, 2004 Posted June 29, 2004 Looks well. Tell us more about the engine, power wise ? Is that your exhaust just sticking right out the side ? Quote
Mike H Posted June 29, 2004 Posted June 29, 2004 Engine looks awesome mate. Is that where you have to put side repeaters now (ie on scuttle) or was it personal choice? Mike Quote
geelhoed Posted June 29, 2004 Posted June 29, 2004 The turbo must be a real good silencer. Your exhaust is a bit short, or is it supposed to be like this? Quote
craig-c Posted June 29, 2004 Posted June 29, 2004 Looks like a very well built car, admiration i like all the samco pipes and polished stainless steal, it looks the dogs danglies, you can't leave it there though tell us mooooore about the car, What's it pushing out? Quote
RS WST Posted June 29, 2004 Author Posted June 29, 2004 The engine has had everything done to it. Steel rods, crank, flywheel, forged pistons, big valve head, cams, Quaiffe sequential box etc. etc. Had most the machining done for me but built the engine myself 350bhp and 360ft/lb of torque in its present tune at 24psi I am running 12psi at the moment until I get used to it. I decided to put the indicators in the scuttle as it makes less wires / mess in the engine bay. I believe all the factory bike powered cars have there indicators in the scuttle now. Quote

RS WST Posted June 29, 2004 Author Posted June 29, 2004 The turbo must be a real good silencer. Your exhaust is a bit short, or is it supposed to be like this? 3" Exhaust comes straight off the turbo, its about 18" long. The turbo cuts out alot of noise but its still a bit harsh. Cruising is fine but when you blip the throttle is screems and whistles like a Tornado jet taking off. Quote
deadscoob Posted June 29, 2004 Posted June 29, 2004 That's V Cool - what turbo is it? A GT jobby? Looks really nicely done Quote
