neilwillis Posted June 6, 2004 Posted June 6, 2004 You don't know what you are missing if you don't have a go yourself. The fast driving (only slightly over the speed limit officer) across the open tops was so good the missus couldn't watch! Quote
DENNISTHEMENACE Posted June 6, 2004 Posted June 6, 2004 Just got home from Robin Hoods Bay.(300 mile journey home) What a fabulous weekend. BIG, BIG THANKS TO SIMON AND CARLA Worth every one of the 847 mile round trip. Fabulous organisation Fabulous people Fabulous route Fabulous weather Got a right good soaking on the way up on Thursday. No hood, no sidescreens. So, come on Andy, next year. (bring your hood and screens if you must) you just gotta come with us. Quote
windy Posted June 6, 2004 Posted June 6, 2004 Just got back so here's some pictures Thanks to Ian for letting me ride in the XTR4. Best bits of the journey were passing through the towns and looking at people's reactions to the car. Either looks of disapproval or amazement. Bikers coming the other way were all giving it a definite thumbs up! Windy Quote

neilwillis Posted June 7, 2004 Posted June 7, 2004 You lucky lucky gits Why can't we have summat like that dan sarf ...... methinks needs must join you on next years ooptnorth This was a national event, why not take a few days off, and bimble up to the North? We had people from all over the country there, and I can promise you, it is an event never to be missed. Do it once, and you'll be hooked! Of course, you could always get one organised for the South Downs, New Forest, or somewhere like that. I know it'd be well supported if the Coast 2 Coast is anything to go by. Quote
adhawkins Posted June 7, 2004 Posted June 7, 2004 (bring your hood and screens if you must) Come come...you must know my opinions of side screens by now. As for a hood! Pah. Anyway, now my new roll bar is on (thanks Adrian) it wouldn't fit anyway. Andy Quote

Turbo Tommo Posted June 7, 2004 Posted June 7, 2004 Yup! Had a great time, wish I'd taken the westy now, the run along Ribblehead and Blakey Ridge were fantastic. However SWMBO needed more comfort and less speed. Carla & Simon, what can we say. The organisation and effort were superhuman. We are so grateful for all the hard work you have put inand will definately be back next year.....even if it's only to find something Marcus can beat me at, coz it sure ain't drinkin' Top event, top people, top location, crap (but comfy) car. Tommo Quote
