Hi All

At the risk of making myself look (a) young and (b) an  :arse: ,

I have bought new spark plugs for xflow - NGK BP7ES's, but what gap size would you recommend?

(now the  :arse:  bit) - when people say 25 thou, what measurement is that of? Inch/cm ??

(I *did* do a search, but it looks like no-one is as stupid as me to ask this before :D, and I'm not ashamed!!!

Cheers

Thanks - Any idea on what the gap size should be?  :D

It think that the gap for a standard x-flow is 0.7mm if you are running a sports coil then 0.8 or even 0.9mm

Hi

I have a microdynamics ignition amplfier, so presumably I could go for 0.8mm and that should be ok?

Thanks.

Generally speaking the bigger the gap the better - more spark, try it at 0.9 see how it runs, check the plugs for colour etc.. if it's a problem take them back to 0.8

Right - re-gapped the sparkplugs last night (and I wondered why it was running a little rough (spitting and coughing etc) on Monday :D )

I had set them to .25mm   (oops, and surprised it ran at all!;)

Now set to .9mm for starters but it was wet last night so have not tested it yet.

:durr:

Thanks for all the help!

Will.
