tex Posted Sunday at 13:53 Posted Sunday at 13:53 Can someone please tell me how to search the forum, for example If I want to find out something example tyres... Most of the time I get nothing found messages... I can get some results... And how do you delete topics.. Example this one
Matt_S Posted Sunday at 14:19 Posted Sunday at 14:19 @tex I assume you have used the search tool at the top of the page? Then just type in a keyword in the search bar.
tex Posted 4 hours ago Author Posted 4 hours ago Cheers, just sometimes with really obvious searches.... Nothing So how do you delete a post you created?
Mike Rowland - Essex AO Posted 4 hours ago Posted 4 hours ago Or just use Google but search 'wscc tyres', it works better in my opinion

Mark (smokey mow) Posted 3 hours ago Posted 3 hours ago Just now, tex said: Ahhhh right.. It's never deleted just hidden It’s been a long while since I was a moderator on these pages but back then most would only ever be hidden rather than physically deleted.
Dave Eastwood (Gadgetman) Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago 2 hours ago, tex said: Ahhhh right.. It's never deleted just hidden That’s right. - deleting was an option years ago, but it was rapidly turned off in favour of hide, after a couple of issues where members accidentally deleted entire threads, as well as individual posts, and then the poor web master also kept getting asked to restore them from back ups. With hide, if you accidentally hide something, then realise it was the wrong post, you can un-hide it without needing any outside help. Moderators and admins can still delete posts, though. So occasionally, especially on really slow mobile connections, where someone’s managed to post the same thing two or three times, they’ve just asked a mod. to delete the extra “copies”!
