Martin Aldred - Shows & Events Coordinator Posted February 8 Posted February 8 Great News our application for a Club Display area at the BRDC 2026 has been accepted by Silverstone Events. BREAKING NEWS Silverstone Events have allocated WSCC a Track Parade Lap Sunday Lunch Time to celebrate the club's 40th Anniversary. Car Club Display Package Tickets are now available to purchase on the Silverstone web site. The WSCC Car Club Package code is now available in the members area. IMPORTANT PLEASE READ BEFORE BUYING YOUR TICKET: Please be aware that WSCC are obliged by Silverstone Events to check and confirm that all tickets purchased using the club's code have been purchased by club members. Please do not share this code with non members or purchase tickets for them as any tickets not directly linked to a club member/members car will be cancelled by Silverstone. Get booking Folks, It would be fantastic to have at least 40 cars for the Parade Lap 5 Quote

Captain Colonial Posted 9 hours ago Posted 9 hours ago Outstanding work @Martin Aldred - Shows & Events Coordinator very well done, off to book now! I’ve been on a parade lap around Silverstone before and it’s a great experience. A couple of quick things: The more members who buy tickets and buy them early, the better of a pitch we will get on the day. In 2016, we had about 65 members with cars and we got an infield pitch next to the Wellington Straight, which was fabulous for watching the racing. Lower numbers will get us a pitch in a car park. How good this turns out to be is down to us collectively, so book it, Danno! If you are bringing your child under age 16, it’s likely they will make you do the parade lap with the roof on (see photo above). If that’s you, bring your roof to avoid supremely disappointing your child! (Yeah, I know, it’s zero protection in the event of any misfortune, but them’s the rules.). I’m sure this will be confirmed closer to the time, but pre-warned is no bad thing. £40 is also less expensive than it was in 2016! See you all there! Quote

I very much intend taking my 13 year old son (who is also 6' tall, so it would be debatable if anyone would question his age) round with me, but I have no roof, nor any way of ever attaching anynsich thing, and suspect many others also don't. Is having a roll hoop sufficient, do you think? Quote

Is having a roll hoop sufficient, do you think? Back in 2016, it was no one under 12, belts must be worn, helmets not required and disclaimers to be filled in and signed (bring a pen!). I’m pretty sure a 6’ young man will be fine, but I’d advise bringing his passport for ID purposes just in case - that and getting him to practice lying about his age! I said 16 just in case, happy to be wrong. More details will be provided later I’m sure. No doubt it’s to stop excited children falling or jumping out mid-lap. The rules may well be different in 2026. I will say now that if you’re going on the parade lap not to wander too far away from your car! Last time, they gathered us up about 90 minutes before the lap and moved us to the staging area at trackside. If you miss the staging call, you are highly unlikely to be allowed to join late. I also suggest a Parade Lap WhatsApp group near the day so that everyone can be pinged and kept up to speed so they don’t miss the staging call! 1 Quote
