Julie Hall - WSCC AO Representative Posted Sunday at 16:33 Posted Sunday at 16:33 (edited) THE FORECAST IS RAIN SO THIS IS CANCELLED IF THE WEATHER IS FAVOURABLE meet at Cupola, Stoney Middleton, Hope Valley, S32 4TF on Sunday 21 December, 10am. You can dress festively if you like, but this is not the usual santa run and we won't be particularly dressed up. The usual good spirit and lots of laughs will accompany us, I can assure you. We will head onto the great Peak District roads for a jolly good drive round, have lunch, before finishing early afternoon so you can get home in the light. Members only on the run out please, keep it fair for those that pay. Fingers crossed for good weather, I will update this post nearer the time. Who's joining us? Tim (Sideways) Johnson - Club Treasurer Posted Monday at 09:30 Posted Monday at 09:30 Would have been up for this, but it’s Judith’s birthday and I’m whisking her off to a nice hotel in the Lake District that weekend. Hopefully in the Westfield 🤞 1 Quote
Dave Eastwood (Gadgetman) Posted Monday at 16:21 Posted Monday at 16:21 I'll try and get along, even if it's in the pickup. (Westfield has only had a very short test drive since changing the regulator, before rain stopped play. So don't know for sure if fuel pressure issue is fixed yet.) 2 Quote
Paul Hurdsfield - Joint Manchester AO Posted Tuesday at 15:01 Posted Tuesday at 15:01 You will be in the English Peak District and I will be in the Thailand Peak District in Khao Yai National Park. Enjoy your run out, I hope the weather gods shine on you all👍 Photos to follow😎 2 Quote
Julie Hall - WSCC AO Representative Posted 2 hours ago Author Posted 2 hours ago Well, the forecast is not exactly dry and there is little interest so sadly I will be cancelling this event. The next event will be on Saturday 27th December, meeting at the car museum, Ambergate, DE56 2HE at 10am. It is the Twixmas Car Meet, entrance is £5 per car, members of the museum go free. We won't stay all day, just long enough to have a trot around the other cars on display before going for our own trot around the Peak District. I will start another and separate event for this though, nearer the time. While I have your attention may I just also mention our usual New Years Day meet? mmm, a tricky one, I am working 6am-10am so if the weather is good and we do decide to meet, it will be a touch later than normal. That probably suits you as you can at least have a lie in and recover from the previous nights activities. Stay posted and hopefully we will get together at some point over the Christmas holidays. 1 Quote
