Those Subaru Brats were great cars for fun in the 70s.  The rear jump seats in particular were great and probably plenty lethal but still fun and legal back then.  You could ride in the back and chat with pretty girls at traffic lights (and potentially meet up with them later) and drink beer at the same time because the alcohol wasn’t in the cab of the truck itself, so legal 👍.  Also, you could park backwards at a drive-in movie theatre and sit in the back in the warm evening nights.

 

Of course, being the angel 😇 that I was (and still am), I did not participate in those sorts of things.  Oh no…
