Steve G. Posted October 3 Posted October 3 Date, Tuesday 21st October. Start time, 6:30 Address, The White Horse, Mullens Pond, Wiremead Lane, Andover, SP11 8EE. https://thewhitehorsethruxton.co.uk/ The pub can be easily accessed from the A303 or more local roads is you would rather. We were very lucky with the weather last month, if we aren't this time we have a table booked so we can sit inside, warm up and eat some food. If it's wet I wont bring my car and I 'm sure others will probably be putting theirs away for the winter months. Please come along anyway if you can. Please let me know if you would like to come along and I can ask for another table if we need it. I've started a group Facebook page that can be found here. https://www.facebook.com/groups/128287340515719/ Quote

Steve G. Posted October 19 Author Posted October 19 A quick reminder to anyone who fancies coming along to our meeting on Tuesday. I'm not sure if the weather will be dry enough to bring some proper cars along though. It would be good to have a chat and see what sort of thing people would like to be doing so we can start making some plans for whatever good salt free weather we get this year and when it's all gone again next year. 1 Quote

Steve G. Posted 3 hours ago Author Posted 3 hours ago As expected it was a bit of a quiet evening mainly due to the weather and I think but some were busy with work etc. We did have a nice meal and a bit of a chat about what to do in the coming months. I'd like to make the area an official club one but at the moment only a few of us are members. Hopefully more would feel like joining the club but wondered how things would work for those who didn't own Westfields. I suggested it might be nice to make the trip to Malvern next year but what arrangements are there for members of the club with non Westfield cars. Quote
Euan Hoosearmy Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago Glad you had a good time. Was stuck in Bucharest for work. Malvern. Entry is free if you're in a kit car and I've seen non-Westfields in "Westfield Avenue". On the club side of things, Westfield ownership isn't mandatory. In the build diaries section (behind paywall) we've one member building a Lola T70, another building an XK120 rep and there was another restoring a TVR. There's been a lot of discussion about widening appeal of the club and welcoming non-westfield owners has got to be part of that. Quote
