The Thatcham branch is the most clued up on kit cars. Other companies are available. Thanks 😄 01635 874646 is us - please don't call your local Howden branch, we are the kit and replica branch 3 2 Quote
RickRack Posted October 7 Posted October 7 Another vote for Howden, 3 years since I brought mine, had quotes prior to buying from £190 a year fully comp fixed 4k miles - then when brought wouldn’t insure as I had “no experience with kit cars” - Howden asked about previous cars/bikes - listed Capri 3.0 to Range Rover & then no problem PLUS premium has gone down for both the 2 renewals since 🫶🏼🤞 Quote
Mighty Mart Posted October 25 Posted October 25 Been with A-Plan who are now Howden for the last 8 yrs or so with no issues. About 3 yrs ago, they also blew my existing house insurance out of the water price wise so house and contents insurance through them too ever since. For the kast two renewals on my Westfield, there has been no noticeable price increase either .... Quote
Caldrin Posted 6 hours ago Author Posted 6 hours ago Well popped down a deposit on a nice Blue Q plate at Toybox Cars... Went with a Ford RS2000 Pinto as I wanted something that was super easy to work on and lots of parts available and not going to cost the world for upgrades when I do want to play around with it a bit Think it will be a good first Westfield. Just waiting on them to finish up some work so I can go give it a test drive.. but they have done a great job on it and looks awesome.. So signed up as a full member here as well. 8 Quote

My 1st Seven (a Tiger) was a 2.0 pinto on twin 40s. Went really well and sounded great if a little loud. Loved that car and engine. Had a Kent cam and was dyno'd at 152bhp, and went extremely well at that level. Quote
