geofff Posted April 29, 2004 Posted April 29, 2004 Hi, Considering it's blowing a gale and tipping it down at the moment would my time be better spent panneling rather than going to the Highwayman tonight? Or are the Chelt & Glos area a bit hardcore and there will be 20 cars tonight without so much as a tonneau? Thanks Geoff Quote
Mark Purves Posted April 29, 2004 Posted April 29, 2004 Go on a go, should be there in the car as long as not to bad. Also Tony has arranged to another talk tonight (from Track Wizards I think) Quote
adhawkins Posted April 29, 2004 Posted April 29, 2004 Yep, something to do with suspension setup I think. I'm hoping to take my car too, but unless the weather lets up that's looking unlikely. That's assuming I can get away from work on time of course... Andy Quote
Mark Purves Posted April 29, 2004 Posted April 29, 2004 That's assuming I can get away from work on time of course... One day in a month who's going to notice. As you work in Newbury is it VF you work for?? Quote
adhawkins Posted April 29, 2004 Posted April 29, 2004 No, a little company called Cabletime. Yes, one day a month would be fine with my boss. However, it's his boss that is the problem... Andy Quote
Mark Purves Posted April 29, 2004 Posted April 29, 2004 So its for your Boss to fight with his Boss Quote
adhawkins Posted April 29, 2004 Posted April 29, 2004 Unfortunately, cos it's only a small company, it's not like I have no contact with his boss... Also, we're expecting delivery of some new hardware today that I'm writing the software for. If that's available to me later in the day, I might have to stay late to attempt to get it working. You don't have to convince me, I want to go to the meet. However, the TD will probably be doing his best to stop me Andy Quote
DickieB Posted April 29, 2004 Posted April 29, 2004 Or are the Chelt & Glos area a bit hardcore and there will be 20 cars tonight without so much as a tonneau? I'll be there. No tonneau in sight. Dickie Quote
Blatman Posted April 29, 2004 Posted April 29, 2004 That's because a folded tonneau is too big to fit in the "boot" of a MINI...... Quote
adhawkins Posted April 29, 2004 Posted April 29, 2004 Lol, and I thought the boot box in my Westfield (with long range tank) was small Just had the 'Ok' from my boss to go (apparently his boss has already Ok'd it ), and if the weather keeps brightening up, then the Westfield may well get another airing. I'm under strict instructions from Mark and 'Auntie Barb' to meet you at some point too Dickie, looks like it might finally happen tonight. Andy Quote

adhawkins Posted April 29, 2004 Posted April 29, 2004 Umm...if you don't know, I'm afraid I don't either They both seemed shocked and horrified at the weekend when they found out I hadn't met you, so you'd better be something special after all this anticipation Andy Quote
welsh wizard Posted April 29, 2004 Posted April 29, 2004 Just had the 'Ok' from my boss to go (apparently his boss has already Ok'd it ), and if the weather keeps brightening up, then the Westfield may well get another airing. It's not bright here atm, so don't get your hopes up! Luned Quote
