danchaff Posted April 28, 2004 Posted April 28, 2004 just got some questions that have probably got really simple answers: 1. for sva test does front to rear fuel pipe need to be metal or will rubber/braided rubber suffice? 2. when answering the above question could anyone tell me exact spec of pipe, diameter etc and also any recommended places to buy from in west yorkshire. 3.just ordered a 2.0 zetec engine from a 94 mondeo with 77,000 miles on, what do i need to change when reconditioning for my seiw? i think i've read somewhere about changes to water pump but can't think of anything else. any help with the above would be greatly appreciated thanks dan Quote

geofff Posted April 29, 2004 Posted April 29, 2004 Hi, I'm building a kit for racing. I intended to run brake and fuel pipe through the passenger compartment for protection from kerbs / gravel etc.. Also ease of maintenance. Does anybody think this a good / bad idea? I was thinking of using steel pipes and bulkhead fittings for the fuel pipe but just passing the brake pipes thorugh a grommeted hole. Would this pass SVA? I was thinking if I could get the car SVA'd it would be easy to run engines / brakes in etc...but I don't necessarily have to. Thanks for any advice Geoff Quote
S8ight Posted April 29, 2004 Posted April 29, 2004 if you use any form of flexi fuel line and it doesnt have a BS number on it they may as for something in writing to say it is suitable for fuel. been told a brochure would be acceptable Quote
