I believe this car will be known to many of you in the group.

I’m selling as the car is just not getting used, I was doing a few track days with my son who’s now left home, and I’ve downsized and need the garage space for an upcoming house renovation.

It flew through the MOT recently, no advisories.

I bought the car in April 2023 when the mileage was around 28.5 and it’s now just over 30 (shows how little use it’s getting…).

I’ve done some sunshine road driving and a few track days.  I haven’t driven lots of different cars on track to be able to compare, but I can verify that this car is beautifully set-up and lots of fun.

Looks and drives like a track car but the suspension is adjustable and is as much at home on the road as on the track.  Wife even comes out with the dog on her lap.

Always garaged, it’s been well looked after, frequent oil changes and a recent gearbox oil change.

Not been on rolling road but estimated 210bhp.  Weighs approx. 575kg.

Reconditioned engine, new crankshaft, cam upgrade, swirl pot (to prevent fuel starvation when cornering on track), brake bias valve, some head work to help with air flow, oil cooler kit, Raceline sump, Simpson race can and manifold (huge can, but quiet), Playskool full cage with welded in side bars, JK fibreglass seats with pads and carbon fibre inserts including bases on runners, Carbon mods aero screen, carbon fibre front cycle wings, Willwood front brake callipers and drilled / grooved disks, quick release steering wheel, three sets of wheels - Minilite type replicas with 888's, a nice set of Compomotive CRX wheels with tyres which look to be about road legal but plenty left for track days, and a crappy set of Alleycats with some very and I mean very old Nankang tyres on - the wheels are rough and the tyres need destroying unless you are doing a drift day, V8 bonnet fitted to car, spare standard bonnet , carbon fibre dash , viscous slippy diff, gel battery (fitted in the nosecone), ingenious towing modification, curved rear view mirror on cage, SPA mirrors (central and side), lowered floor (fine for 6”2’), carbon fibre side screens, Procomp adjustable shocks/springs and front anti roll bar (not the Westfield one that has been known to damage the chassis), spare windscreen, side screens, wiper motor and washer bottle, Racelidz 4 point harness (they are five point but only 4 fitted but the groin belts to include in sale - seats have the holes for the 5th belt), high level cage mounted brake light.

Car fully setup and corner weighted by Procomp.

I can’t take any credit for the above and the fabulous set-up of this car.  That was all the previous owner – more info here:- https://forum.wscc.co.uk/forum/topic/144169-chrome-yellow-sport-2000-car-sold/#comment-1527438

Car is in East Sussex TN32 5QS.  I can take you for a spin.  You can drive if you show me insurance.

Yep, a very well known and admired car within the Club - previously owned and developed by Clark, who also use to run the Club’s merchandise sales through his work clothing and PPE business.

An absolute cracker of a Westfield.

Good luck with the sale!

Can anyone please comment on why they think this isn't moving?  Have I said something in the Ad that looks wrong?  Is it over-priced?  Wrong time of year?  Something else?  This is an amazing car, drives like a dream, has no faults, needs no work, has year's MOT, I could go on.  Thanks.

I think the market is a bit flat. But nothing wrong with the advert, the car or the price in my view!

I am surprised it hasn’t sold - maybe try expanding the audience on other platforms?

@Nige_T, spec and price are right on. Sticking my neck out i would say it's your photo's not selling the car.

Put the CXR wheels on, and take some all round photos would help show off the car, also put it on the FB for sale page, you will get more coverage.

IMO the CXR's bring out a raw track ready look on a Westy, but I am biased 😁

I'd also suggest new photos including interior after a good polish with the CXRs fitted.

If it were me, I'd emphasise it as a track day proven road car, because my impression of most track cars is that they can look rough which might put some buyers off. Maybe list the spec in sections and include gearbox and ECU?

I'd also probably get the front wings clear lacquered and spend a weekend with some satin black paint on the front suspension, maybe also get a power check done on a dyno for reassurance.

It could be that a carefully spent £500-£1000 would regain itself and get the sale.

That should help it stand out in a busy market, hopefully

The market is not good atm, prices are all over the place and there have been a lot of Westies for sale in recent months. Have you tried eBay and Pistonheads?

I bought mine from Pistonheads and only discovered it was for sale on the WSCC after I'd bought it and joined this club so there may not be that many people on here looking to buy, most already have a Westfield. I'd definitely try other sales outlets like eBay, Pistonheads, Facebook etc.
