Westfield 1800 Zetec For Sale - 2001 (X Plate)

Due to an increasing Labrador family, and hence the need to have a ‘practical’ 2nd car, I have had to make the painful decision to part with my much-loved Westfield. This is a factory-built car that I bought through Westfield as a 2nd owner. Vehicle registered new in 2001, I purchased in 2003 and it has been with me ever since.

Jenvey / Dunnell engine upgrades all undertaken by Noble Motorsports at Chesterfield. Rolling road results (Northampton Motorsport) gave 187 BHP with the original ‘restrictive’ Westfield exhaust manifold fitted; this has since been upgraded to the Dunnell manifold (new BHP and Torque figures unknown!)

Mileage is genuine and only 19,672 (full record of all MOT’s, receipts, etc)

Most recent MOT undertaken in July ’25 (no advisory’s) along with full wheel alignment geometry checks / adjustments undertaken by Track Torque (Tockwith), along with rear wheel bearing replacements.

This car has been meticulously maintained throughout my ownership, as demonstrated by the specification below. The bodywork has some crazing in the fibreglass as you’d expect for a Westfield of this age.

Don’t really want to sell, but given I’m going to have to, I’d like it to stay within the WSCC if possible.

£12,800 ono

The car is located near York. Contact Martin for any enquiries   mburge@sky.com

Why is there no mention in the listing of the car being listed as a cat D write off ?

Posted

Hi Rednop1,

The CAT D was a result on me mounting a kerb about 12 years ago. Cracked a bottom wishbone (front o/s) and the V8 valance at the rear of the car. The assessor took the view they'd have to get a specialist to repair, despite me arguing that Wesfield are component cars and repairs would be simple. In the end we agreed that I could keep the car and get a payout. Repairs came to a grand total of £600 including the garage fees for fitting the wishbone and full alignment / geometry set up. Farcical! I didn't replace the V8 valance as it was the second that had been damaged due to limited ground clearance.

Cheers,

Martin

Martin i'm not questioning the repair or the damaged that was caused too the car my comment was made because in no part of your listing to sell your car have you mentioned that the car is a Cat D
