mega ade Posted 10 hours ago Posted 10 hours ago In the last few days the roads around my village have been shut for cat eye replacement they may as well have fitted paving blocks the new cat eyes are solid alloy and are 30 mm tall i drove over a couple in the westie and the jolt almost pulled the wheel out of my hands and hit them with the rear wheel and your out of the seat there ridiculous I can't imagine how cyclists and motorcycles are going to manage there's going to be an accident for sure. 2 Quote
dvd8n Posted 10 hours ago Posted 10 hours ago I wouldn't worry; in a few months they'll start dropping off. 1 Quote

Hopefully they have a nice long tail on them buried deep into the asphalt! I'm amazed that cats eyes are still being used tbh, I'd have expected something new to have been invented by now, testament to the fact that they were a revolutionary invention I guess. Quote

There was a section of road near to me that had led lights installed a few years ago, instead of cats eyes. Quite a winding road with no street lights and out in the countryside, you could drive it at night with your lights off! Having said all that, I don't think they work anymore 😆 1 Quote

mega ade Posted 50 minutes ago Author Posted 50 minutes ago Why not use two glass beads set in rubber like what's been used for 300 years you have to have a round wheel square won't work some nxb got loadsa money to design that hideous lump of alloy which will probably all be nicked when the lads with the transit pick up work out it's easy cash to rip em out.
