Popular Post Dave Eastwood (Gadgetman) Posted July 16, 2025 Popular Post Posted July 16, 2025 Just to let everyone know, the new Club website is now live; as we were all painfully aware, the old one was terribly out of date, and also represented a different, older approach to the structure of such things, that didn't really take into account social media, and the spread of different on-line areas we now cover. The aim, apart from making sure everything was current, and would be easier to keep current, was to simplify everything dramatically, and rather than having multiple links to navigate around the site itself, it would serve as a hub, where you could find out about what we do, and then jump off into our other sites, such as the forum, from there. 12 2 Quote
Flying Carrot Steve Posted July 16, 2025 Posted July 16, 2025 Tbh I didn't even know there was a club website as such. Link for anyone else who would like to look... https://www.wscc.co.uk/#club-information Quote

Link for anyone else who would like to look... https://www.wscc.co.uk/#club-information I'm not sure if I knew or not .. certainly not visited for a long time if I did know about it (my memory is dreadful!). But .. one glaring issue is that clicking the WSCC logo on the top of the forums page just refreshes the forums home page, surely it would be better if clicking that logo took you to the actual WSCC webpage instead? Maybe this is the reason we didn't know about the actual website? there's no link to it from the forums? 1 Quote
Dave Eastwood (Gadgetman) Posted July 16, 2025 Author Posted July 16, 2025 The forum has traditionally been it's own thing, and the web site primarily used for "finding" and joining the club, and gaining access to the forum. That's one of the reasons it got somewhat forgotten about and neglected in the first place. Historically, it's been more for potential members than existing members! 1 Quote

Captain Colonial Posted July 16, 2025 Posted July 16, 2025 Trying to win my approval by including a photo of The Wench in the gallery of Westfields on the home page won’t influence me. On a completely unrelated note, I approve. Excellent job, well overdue but kudos to the person or persons who put it together, well done 2 1 Quote
Craigieboy Posted July 16, 2025 Posted July 16, 2025 Yeah very well done to all those involved in the update, it really is much more modern and hopefully attractive to new members. Like the picture of the MK too . Good job! Quote

It's important that everything we do and show, reflects the ethos and make up of the Club, that includes our friends in MK's, GBS Zeros, Tigers, MNR's et al. 5 Quote

Stuart Davis - Devon Cornwall & Somerset AO Posted July 16, 2025 Posted July 16, 2025 Fantastic job all, much needed and great to finally have it in place. Question though, I can only see the Trader option when I click on membership, does that need sorting? Thanks All involved. Quote

That's because trade membership is only other option available to you as a signed in member/AO If you sign out then all membership option are available to view 2 Quote

Dave Eastwood (Gadgetman) Posted July 16, 2025 Author Posted July 16, 2025 Yep, you only get presented with options available to you, when going to the membership store. Quote
